Apple to Use Intel Microprocessors Beginning in 2006. Now I am one step closer to running Tiger on my PC at home. This is most likely not a reality but one can only hope. I actually think now is a really good time for Apple to make a move in the OS market and release OS X Tiger to "beige-box" PCs. Linux is great but lacks sex appeal. Windows is widely used and wildly hated. If Apple released a general PC version of OS X they could beat Microsoft to market years before Longhorn is ready. Then top it off OS X would be an actual improvement in security and usability and include some killer features like Spotlight, Dashboard, Automator and QuickTime 7. Unlike Windows Longhorn which is turning out to be merely a patch with a face-lift.
